THREE SWALLOWS

Has done his part. Ye fostering breezes, blow;
Ye softening dews, ye tender showers, descend;
And temper all, thou world-reviving sun,
Into the perfect year.

from The Seasons: “Spring” by James Thomson (1700-1748)
